Version 2024.4 · ~146 MB · Windows 11 or Windows 10 (64-bit) · Free trial, then US$65 one-time
Download Moneydance for Windows is the Windows 11 and Windows 10 build of Moneydance, the cross-platform personal finance app by The Infinite Kind. Version 2024.4 ships as a 64-bit installer of about 146 MB, in separate amd64 and ARM editions, and covers online banking, budgeting, bill reminders and investment tracking in one private, locally stored application. Install it as a free trial, then unlock the full version for a one-time US$65.
Moneydance for Windows requires 64-bit Windows 11 or Windows 10. There are two installers to download for Windows: the amd64 edition for the Intel and AMD processors in most desktops and laptops, and the ARM edition for Windows on ARM machines such as Snapdragon-based laptops. Each installer is around 146 MB. Because Moneydance is a Java-based application, the required runtime is bundled inside the installer, so you do not need to download or manage a separate Java setup — install the .exe and the app is ready to run.
If you are moving from an older 32-bit release, note that current Moneydance is 64-bit only; both the amd64 and ARM builds target 64-bit Windows. When you download for Windows 11 or download for Windows 10, the installer registers the app and creates the shortcuts, and the first launch lets you open an existing account file or start a fresh one. Your data lives on your own PC rather than in a hosted account, which keeps your records private and under your control.
For online banking on Windows, Moneydance connects to your financial institutions through the optional Moneydance+ service, which covers 11,000+ North American banks and credit unions for automatic transaction download. You can also import statements manually via OFX/QFX, QIF or CSV if you prefer not to connect directly. Your account file stays encrypted on your PC, and the free iOS companion app syncs securely with it so you can enter transactions on the go and see them on the desktop. The same account file is portable, so records you build on Windows open unchanged on Mac and Linux.
